You are invited to join Steep and Spin, an afternoon of tea and sound at Make Room to celebrate LA Design Weekend and the city's creative community. Hanna Li, founder of Hanna Li Interiors and a fourth-generation woodworker, leads a Gongfu tea service, a Chinese tradition of preparing tea through a series of small, concentrated infusions. Approaching tea as an extension of her design practice, she is interested in the quiet choreography between objects, space, and people. Throughout the afternoon, artist, producer and DJ JiJi spins vinyl found across Asia, from Mongolian musicians to records discovered in Japan's jazz kissas.
